BAHAMAS: CITIZENSHIP BY NATURALIZATION

Bahamas Nationality.

CONDITIONS:

1. Have a permanent residence in The Bahamas;
2. Knowledge of the English language.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

1. Completed application forms;
2. Recent photo ID, 35×45 mm;
3. Birth certificate;
4. Passport;
5. Residence card;
6. Certificate of permanent residence;
7. Documents confirming the legal source of income;
8. Criminal record.

PROCESS:

1. Consultation and a period of questions regarding immigration and citizenship process in the Bahamas;
2. Preparation of all documents;
3. Submit to the Department of Immigration;
4. You will receive a response within a 3 to 4 week period;
5. The Minister may at his discretion grant to the applicant a certificate of naturalization.

FAMILY MEMBERS:

Children are included in the naturalization process and will obtain a citizenship of the Bahamas.
