01 | Immigration for Rentista applicants
A person who can support themselves financially in Argentina using funds from abroad, such as rental income, retirement, or other accepted sources from abroad, may qualify for a “rentista” residence permit. This permit is initially valid for one year and can be renewed as needed
In order to be an eligible applicant under the immigration program for renters in Argentina, the following conditions have to be met:
- Demonstrate a regular and stable income that is at least 5 times the minimum salary in Argentina. As of May 2024, this requirement equates to a minimum monthly income of US $1,500 for a single applicant, based on the current minimum wage of 235,000 ARS.
- Present documents confirming the origin of your income, such as income from property rent, investment, and dividends.
- Demonstrate that the entry of the funds into the country is made through banking or financial institutions authorized by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic
- Acquire or rent a property in Argentina for the duration of the stay.

02 | Immigration for Investors
Individuals who invest in Argentine assets to engage in activities beneficial to the country may be eligible for an investor residence permit. This permit is initially valid for 1 year and is extendable, allowing investors to contribute to local development while residing in Argentina.
The eligibility criteria to qualify under under the Argentinean investor visa are the following:
- Accomplish an investment of at least 1,500,000 ARS aimed at a productive, commercial or service activity of interest to Argentina.
- Present documentation accrediting the professional experience.
- Formulate a business plan detailing the investment project.
- Justify the origin of income.
- Open a bank account at a financial entity authorized by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic.
- Possess a long-term property in Argentina.
