CONDITIONS

Luxembourg immigration law provides for family members of citizens or third-country nationals, residing legally on the territory of Luxembourg, immigrate to Luxembourg. Family stream visas are currently available to :

  1. Spouse or the registered partner;
  2. The descendant of the spouse or partner;
  3. Parent of the sponsor or the spouse/partner.

APPLICATION PACKAGE

  1. Application forms;
  2. A recent ID color photo, 35×45 mm;
  3. A copy of the sponsor ‘s citizen ID or residence permit that must be valid at least 1 year;
  4. Confirmation of sponsor’s sufficient resources to be able to cover his own needs as well as the needs of his family members;
  5. Confirmation of appropriate housing on the territory of Luxembourg (rental agreement, property ownership);
  6. Medical insurance for the sponsor and the family members; 
  7. Passport and ID card (copy of its identification page(s));
  8. Certificate of birth;
  9. For spouse/partner: a document certifying the marriage or the registered partnership (marriage certificate, partnership declaration, family booklet);
  10. For children and parents: the documents attesting the family relationship with the sponsor;
  11. Police record from the country of citizenship and country of residence;
  12. Vaccination book for children under 16 years old;
  13. School certificate (for children under 16 years old); 
  14. A property ownership deed or a lease contract of a house or apartment in Luxembourg.

IMMIGRATION PROCESS

  1. Consultation regarding immigration to Luxembourg, education, medical, administration and all other questions;
  2. Signature of the Agreement;
  3. You will prepare, legalize and Apostillised all necessary documents and send them to us;
  4. Our translator will translate all documents into French or German;
  5. The applicant may confer mandate to a juridical assistant;
  6. We will prepare your immigration file and apply to the Ministry in charge of immigration and after approval the mentioned case will be sent to the Consulate of Luxembourg;
  7. The visa will be delivered by a consular service few weeks later;
  8. You will come to Luxembourg and within three working days must submit a declaration of arrival to the municipality of the chosen place of residence;
  9. You have 90 days for:
  10. Take a medical exam with a general doctor. The result will be sent to the Medical Department who should inform the Immigration Department if the medical conditions are fulfilled in order to obtain a Luxembourgian residence permit;
  11. Apply to the Immigration Department for the issue of residence card;
  12. Go to the Immigration Department for the bio-metric data (photo and fingerprints);
  13. Come in person to get residence card at the Immigration Department;
  14. Return to the municipality to confirm the immigration status and receive a certificate of residence (certificate de residence).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

  1. The sponsor must be holder of a residence card valid at least 1 year and has been living in Luxembourg for at least 1 year.
  2. Dispose of regular, stable and sufficient resources to cover his/her own needs as well as those of dependent family members.
  3. Have appropriate house in Luxembourg,
  4. Have a medical insurance.

CITIZENSHIP

It is possible to apply for citizenship after seven (7) years living in Luxembourg.

    SPAIN: CITIZENSHIP TO SEPHARDIC JEWS

    LAWS AND REGULATIONS

    Starting October 1st 2015, Spain will grant the right of citizenship to Sephardic Jews whose descendants were expelled from Spain in 1492.

    CONDITIONS

    1. Present evidence of Sephardic Jew status;
    2. Demonstrate special connection to Spain;
    3. Have basic knowledge of the Spanish language and culture.

    REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

    1. Completed application form;
    2. Birth certificate;
    3. Police certificate (for the last five (5) years prior the application);
    4. Certificate of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain;
    5. Certificate by the President of the Jewish community of your residence or birth place;
    6. Certificate from the rabbinical authority;
    7. Documents confirming Spanish origins (Sephardic Jew);
    8. Proof of knowledge and use of the ladino or “haketia” language;
    9. Two test results (basic knowledge of Spanish language and of the Spanish Constitution and culture).

    IMMIGRATION PROCESS

    1. We will provide you a consultation regarding: the process of immigration to Spain, the procedures of obtaining a Spanish citizenship, questions related to education, insurance, integration, healthcare, administrative and other aspects associated with your move to Spain;
    2. Signature of the agreement;
    3. You will have to prepare and legalize the required documents;

    5. We will apply your information to the Jewish Organization of Spain in order to obtain the requested certificates;
    6. We will submit your application to the Spanish authorities;
    7. You will obtain an identification number through which you could see online the progress of your application;
    8. Your application will be transmitted to a Spanish notary who will study your case;
    9. The notary will request additional documents, reports and may make supplementary verification of the Ministerio del Interior y Ministerio de la Presidencia;
    10. If your application is complete, you will be asked for an appointment with a Spanish notary in order to confirm your information and do a background check;
    11. After a favorable decision, you will be invited to take an oath of allegiance to the King and obedience to the Spanish Constitution and laws;
    12. You will obtain a Spanish citizenship;
    13. The process can last up to one (1) year.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    1. When you obtain your Spanish citizenship, you do not need to renounce on your previous and other citizenship;
    2. Starting October 1st 2015, applicants will have only three (3) years to apply for Spanish citizenship;
